There are eight easy steps to understand the story of the Bible and what it tells us. Here they are:

1. Creation of the World
God’s Creation is good. From the tallest mountain to the smallest tree, he created it all. God is so amazing that he spoke the universe into existence. A perfect God created a perfect paradise; just for humanity to be close to him and trust his every word.
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
                                                                                          -Genesis 1:1

2. The Fall of Man
The Deceiver came and tempted us into disobeying God. It was not the forbidden fruit that caused a separation from God, but God’s single command that we disobeyed. The voice that once created and shaped the stars, was now banishing us from Eden. But, a Savior was promised who would restore the relationship.

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--
                                                                                          - Romans 5:12

all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
                                                                                          - Romans 3:23

3. Israel’s Journey
Generations pass. Through a man named Abraham, a great nation of God’s people was established. God’s people disobeyed his commands and nations came and enslaved them. Kings lived and died. Prophets foretold of the Savior who was to come. Patiently, God’s people waited.
"But like Adam they transgressed the covenant; there they dealt faithlessly with me."
                                                                                       -Hosea 6:7

"Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things."
                                                                                       -Romans 1:22

4. Jesus: Birth of a Savior
The Savior finally came. Although, he didn’t come as many expected. There were no fireworks, parades, or even earthquakes. Instead, when a virgin named Mary gave birth to a baby boy named Jesus, this was God come into the world  to save us.
And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn."
                                                                                            -Luke 2:7

5. Jesus: Death on the Cross
Jesus didn’t act as people had assumed the Savior would act. He told stories, did amazing miracles, and even hung out with the outcasts. The most surprising thing Jesus did was when on one Friday afternoon, he allowed his enemies kill him by nailing him to a cross where he died.

"but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
                                                                                        -Romans 5:8

6. Jesus: The Resurrected King
Many would think the story ends there, but it doesn’t. Three days later, Jesus rose from death. Death couldn’t hold him. Sin had no wages he couldn’t pay. By giving his life and raising from death, Jesus created a way to God. And it turns out the only way is through him.

"Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain."
                                                                                -1 Corinthians 15:12-14

7. The Church
Because of Jesus creating a way for us to God, we have been given the responsibility to spread the word. After Jesus ascended to Heaven, he  even sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us, guide us, and fight for us. We may face hardships and struggles, but the Gospel must never die.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
                                                                                   -Matthew 28: 19-20

8. New Creation
One day very soon, Jesus will come back. He will defeat the Deceiver once and for all. God’s people from every nation and every tribe will come and praise the name of Jesus and live in peace and harmony forevermore.
I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
                                                                              -Revelation 1:8

"For God so Loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have Everlasting Life."
                                                    -John 3:16
